How RTT Works

Your subconscious mind can be your friend or your foe!

The role of your subconscious mind is to keep you from harm and move you toward pleasure. It is the storehouse of your memories and emotions, and keeps your body functioning.

Hypnosis, as part of the RTT approach, is a powerful and safe way to connect with your subconscious mind to identify this root cause of your issue.  Let’s say this is anxiety. This is done by taking the client back to an event or memory that first triggered the feeling of anxiety, and exploring what was going on at that time and why the mind felt this was somehow beneficial or useful for you. When you understand the root cause of your anxiety, you can then understand how to change your subconscious thinking and any outdated beliefs with the intention of removing anxiety as a block in your life, permanently.

With RTT therapy we create alignment between your conscious and subconscious mind, so that in your day to day life, the flow of your thoughts to your actions to your behaviours and to the outcomes you experience are all consistent and beneficial to you.

“Every habit of action is driven by a habit of thought”.
Marisa Peer

Take the problem of anxiety for example. For most of your life you have been living with this anxiety. Logically you know you experience anxiety and can recognise the symptoms and are even aware of the situations where you feel anxious. You may even practice breathwork or other strategies as a way to manage the anxiety. However, it is unlikely you know exactly the reason (root cause) of why your mind is driving you to experience anxiety. This is hidden from you as this knowledge is held in your subconscious mind.

Similarly, have you tried to give up a bad habit and experienced stopping and starting in repetitive cycles? Have you ever been a yo-yo dieter? This is because there is a conflict between the conscious and subconscious. So even though you may have great willpower which is of the conscious mind, the subconscious is really in control and there is a subconscious thought and related belief pattern driving you back to old behaviours.  After a while willpower, wilts and dies and you go back to your old behaviours.

Your subconscious mind responds to and learns from repetition by listening to the words you say to yourself and the pictures that you form in your head. It loves what is familiar. Through RTT we make the familiar unfamiliar, breaking old and limiting beliefs that no longer service you, and install new beneficial beliefs that replace old patterns and behaviours to your betterment.
